The map rendering is incredibly good.
The way the map hides while scrolling, but still keeps the repeaters visible, is especially impressive.

I have a few ideas that could be nice to have:

Altitude display – for example in the top-left corner, or shown while scrolling (similar to the “no GPS fix” message). Maybe the toolbar could appear only during scrolling, when the map is hidden, and show the altitude there.
Option to select map tiles from different folders – Meshtastic has something similar on the T-Deck. Different maps could be stored in separate folders inside the tiles directory, and the user could choose which one to use from a menu. For example, hiking maps with trails tiles, off-road tiles, etc.
GPS waypoints and track recording – the ability to save waypoints and/or display tracking lines.
Custom symbols for current possition when a GPS fix is available.

This kind of functionality would be really great to have. I’d be happy to contribute, although I’m not sure what’s currently possible or feasible.
