Describe the bug

Another type of freeze:

When I am in a channel or direct chat, and scroll to the top, reach the top and keep scrolling, the device UI freezes for several tens of seconds. When I leave the chat view afterwards, another freeze.

That freeze does not occur when I do not scroll to the top.

Which device are you using

LilyGO T-Deck Plus

Which Firmware are you using

v0.9.12

To Reproduce

  1. Open a channel or user chat with has some messages.
  2. Scroll to the top (either by gesture or by trackball).
  3. Observe that the UI is frozen for several tens of seconds (at least 30, which is my display timeout); also the finger tap indicator (big yellow circle) stays on screen.
  4. After UI is responsive again, leave chat view.
  5. Observe another such freeze.

Additional context

I don't know if this or this are related.

This actually very reliably triggers #257.

And I now also had it for channels, too.

And I now also had it for some DM chat when I was trying to scroll past the bottom.
