To be able to quickly corellate path information or nodes from the map with the actual contacts, showing the ID prefix in the contacts list would be helpful.
Regards!

GUI: contact list badge reordering and new device-byte badge
Right-side badge order is now: [1b/2b/3b][TYPE][ROUTE][LAST_HEARD][FAV][GPS][MAIL]
New "device-byte" badge (1b, 2b, 3b) shows the address hash width used in the contact's last advert — dark background, visible when advert path data is available
implemented in v0.9.12

Sorry, this did implement something else but not what my feature suggestion was.
You, @dabeani, implemented: How many bytes the hash prefix of that node has.
I did suggest: Show the actual hash prefix, as it is also shown on the map.
Regards!

another try in v0.9.15: Node ID prefix in the contacts list (#149, #302):* written in the node's own hash size (1–3 bytes). New setting ID Bytes for the map badges (Auto or fixed 1–3 bytes).
