## **Not Your Data Storage Infrastructure, Not Your NFTs**
## **Gala Games: Decentralized Gaming Supported by IPFS and Filecoin**

In IPFS, resilience is the way that people individually and collectively participate in the network to store and govern data. It is context specific, and requires active participation of stakeholders to govern the storage of their data. Data storage resilience could be improved by leveraging existing Web3.0 data governance frameworks, such as Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), to coordinate data storage infrastructure and utilization in a way that owners of data are able to govern how it is stored and used. To learn more about these concepts, read [**this piece**](https://kelsienabben.substack.com/p/not-your-storage-architecture-not) by Protocol Labs PhD Fellow, Kelsie Nabben, as she dives into how distributed storage and content addressing make end-user applications more resilient.
Game development is at a completely different place than where it was a decade or two ago. Todays games are rich multimedia and art experiences, but that depth comes at a cost. All the amazing design, code, and infrastructure in these releases are requiring similar advancements in storage solutions. As immersive games cross over the Web3 frontier, developers in the space will need tools at their disposal to organize, analyze, archive, and deploy massive amounts of data. [Gala Games](https://app.gala.games/about/) is a solution that meets these needs and helps different teams and projects develop games on chain. Learn more about Gala Games and how theyre using IPFS and Filecoin for their large amount of backup data in this [recent blog post](https://blog.ipfs.io/2022-02-27-gala-games-decentralized-gaming/).
