It is not possible to write an emoji in the album name (not tested in other field), it submits without error but erases completely the content of the album name's input field.
A work around is to enter the unicode HTML code.

It would be nice to also have this in the search functions. Our site has been wanting to implement "emoji search" (eg: user searches using basketball emoji, brings them to the basketball album) :)
Opening up this can of worms, it is very important that XSS vulnerabilities are tested/we make sure < or > (also encoded/html symbol versions) don't spit out and form html - just text. Critically important to make sure that when the query is being written to the database as a search term, that it doesn't break and use SQL. (SQL injection).

Hi piwigo,
is there any progress on this? emoji are state of the art, and always present.
Is it possible to work on this issue?
thx
Ralf
