When the sasl module is loaded, I am unable to connect to irc.tilde.chat. This problem occurs whether or not I have a password set. I get repeated registration timeout errors.
I'm using the round robin address irc.tilde.chat with SSL enabled on port 6697. I still get the same error when targeting specific servers on the network. With verbose mode enabled, I don't see anything unusual – the EXTERNAL mechanism fails as expected but PLAIN succeeds. I use the sasl module to connect to other networks without any issues.
znc version 1.8.1. on CentOS 7

If I recall correctly its some bug in inspircd if the sasl module is reloaded or disabled/enable, or something else. I've had this issue for years, but only on networks running inspircd.
