hey,

modpython/Makefile.inc:48: die Regel für Ziel „modpython/_znc_core.o“ scheiterte
make[1]: *** [modpython/_znc_core.o] Fehler 1
Makefile:121: die Regel für Ziel „modules“ scheiterte
make: *** [modules] Fehler 2

Makefile:131: die Regel für Ziel „admindebug.o“ scheiterte
make[1]: *** [admindebug.o] Fehler 1
Makefile:121: die Regel für Ziel „modules“ scheiterte
make: *** [modules] Fehler 2

i am currently trying to compile version 1.7.2 on my debian server.
Unfortunately I always get this error a swap of 3G I have already created but still this error occurs.

How can I fix this ?

Any chance you can share the entire build log? Because the errors alone won't help us debug it, we'd need to see the other build data to determine if it's actually a memory issue or if something else is failing.

Please execute "export LC_ALL=C" to make the error understandable for
non-German people, then run "make VERBOSE=1"

this is the config.log

i tried this
export LC_ALL=C
make VERBOSE=1

but only what i get is this

Where did you download the source code from? If it is something like https://github.com/znc/znc/archive/znc-1.7.2.tar.gz then you are looking at the automatically generated broken stuff from GitHub. Please try https://znc.in/releases/znc-1.7.2.tar.gz instead.

(Also, the error message is still in German. To anyone curious: It says that this is not a git repository because no .git was found.)
