[Feature request] Disallow users from changing ident #800

Apart from editing the add_edit_user.tmpl -file and the ident field, I cannot see a method to disallow users from changing their ident. I think editing the HTML also leaves a hole for users to modify the HTML back to "normal". Is there a method to only show the user's ident in a disabled field, while also not allowing the form to change the ident?

For the feature request; can we get a feature where only the admin can change the ident for a user?
