I run a public ZNC server with a few hundred users. One of my main daily issues is that users keep connecting to the wrong servers on some networks, so I've started working on a patch where users just select the network they want to connect to from a list of preset dropdowns, and then the specific servers/ports are taken from the preset.
Now that I've started working on it, I was wondering if that's something you might be interested in adding to ZNC main as an optional feature? Because in that case I'll make an effort to make the code less specific, make it properly configurable, etc.
This is more of a question than a bug.

Are we talking about something that fills in the settings, like I've seen desktop clients do (like a preset), or a mechanism that replaces the server entry field entirely? I, for one, could see a list of presets coming with ZNC, the way many desktop clients (KVIrc, HexChat, Textual, etc.) do. Not sure if core would take a total replacement, though.

I was thinking presets that the administrator defines. I guess some could also be shipped with ZNC. Whether it replaces the server entry field entirely or just prefills it should be a configuration option IMO (with "do not replace field" being the default). For my use case, it would replace the field entirely, but I'm aware most people would like to just have it prefill the field.
