Recently I have encountered an issue where ZNC issues a PING, and 9 times out of 10, mIRC replies with a PONG correctly. However, it seems occasionally either mIRC doesn't send a PONG, or ZNC never receives it. I am wondering how I can troubleshoot this further to see where the issue lies.
Behaviour is no IRC traffic received by client, and when you attempt an action that will generate traffic (such as sending a line), the connection times out with HOST DISCONNECTED. The last thing seen in znc -D is ZNC asking for a ping from the CLI.
From the log it looks like when ZNC tries to send PING, client is already disconnected, it wasn't noticed though.
ZNC version?

The client is definitely still running, but it looks like there might be network provider issues which are causing me this problem. I'm going to close this now.
ZNC Version is 1.6.2.

ZNC then continues behaving normally, receiving IRC traffic, until I reconnect.
Any guidance on solving this would be great.
