  • nicks, if I am watching for my (alt)nicks, I am only interested when they are mentioned. I am not interested in my secondary ZNC printing everything I say or someone using nick matching my rules on channel that I am on.

  • join/part/quit I use /notify (aka MONITOR/ISON in WeeChat depending on what the server supports), I don't want to get notices on me or people with specific nicks or my bot or altnick joining/quitting as /notify tells that less intrusively.
