Originally reported at https://github.com/mmb/weechat-otr/issues/121 which also has debug outputs for the script but after testing it appears to be ZNC issue.

  • WeeChat 1.3 + 1.6.1 + otr.py = works
  • WeeChat 1.4-dev + 1.7-git = broken
  • WeeChat 1.4-dev + 1.6.1 = works
  • Debian GNU/Linux 7.9 (wheezy)
  • ZNC 1.7.x-git-397-2c0dfbb - http://znc.in
    • IPv6: yes, SSL: yes, DNS: threads, charset: yes
