Hello,
I'm unable to connect to ZNC over SSL in XChat Azure 1.16.2. The problem appeared when upgrading from ZNC 1.3 to ZNC `~master` branch.
Here's my ZNC version:
```
ZNC - 1.5.0-git-484-2ee19fd - http://znc.in
IPv6: yes, SSL: yes, DNS: threads, charset: no
```
The error when connecting to ZNC:
```
Connection failed. Error: (336151568) error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert handshake failure
```
And, my OpenSSL version:
```
I believe your IRC client is out dated, as it attempts to use SSLv3, which is no longer considered secure. TLSv1 or later should be used instead. Ergo, you need a newer/different IRC client. If you are otherwise pleased with the interface and how XChat works, or are just used to it, I recommend HexChat.
HexChat supports the more recent SSL protocol. I also noticed there's now a Mac OS version of HexChat available. http://hexchat.github.io/downloads.html
SSLv3 was disabled because of being insecure, but I think there is option to re-enable it, but that isn't recommended.
You should be able to [import your settings to HexChat directly.](http://hexchat.readthedocs.org/en/latest/faq.html#how-do-i-migrate-my-settings-from-xchat)
So I tried the HexChat OSX client (I love the Windows Hexchat), and unfortunately, it's a little too buggy for me to switch over quite yet.
Still, I guess this isn't a bug with ZNC if it's just an incompatible SSL version.
