One of the networks I use is actually a Jabber connection through BitlBee, and due to how it operates, it is very spammy with joins/parts; because of this, I'd rather not use buffextras on that network, but I'd like to use it on the others I connect to.
At present, buffextras can only be loaded at user level; I would like to request this be tweaked to allow per-network.

Not that I'm against this change, but changing BitlBee's `show_users` settings can also help you avoid the join/part spam. See http://wiki.bitlbee.org/ManagingContactList and http://wiki.bitlbee.org/AwayDevoice

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware of that option :)
e: ah, it only works on control channels; that actually won't help - the spammy rooms are the groupchats, not the control channel :)

Aww, that's a shame. :) BitlBee's documentation is…somewhat lacking, it's true.
