The wiki page http://wiki.znc.in/Query_buffers discribes a non working feature. Building from the most current source on github results in an older 1.5 configuration with no possibility to enable query buffers (there is no AutoClearQueryBuffer option).

The AutoClearQueryBuffer setting is visible in webadmin & controlpanel modules, but it won't appear by itself in your old znc.conf until you
a) change the value in webadmin or controlpanel so that it gets written to an existing znc.conf, or
b) re-generate a new znc.conf with ./znc --makeconf.
If you prefer to modify znc.conf by hand, write it there next to AutoClearChanBuffer (user-section).
