I have just set up logging and note the logs include all joins and quits in the channel. This makes reading through logged channel chat rather difficult (when compared to reading through a buffer that is only buffering chat).
I am wondering if it would be possible to add options for logging, ie 'everything' or an option to cut out all the unwanted noise and be left with 'pure chat' and any 'private messages'.

[08:58:38] <jifster> wondering if there is a way to log just conversation and not all the quits and joins in a channel?
[08:59:39] <jifster> Is there something I can put in the Argument window perhaps.
[08:59:40] <KindOne> you would need to modify the source code
[08:59:54] <jifster> oh
[08:59:59] <jifster> thats not going to happen lol
[09:00:01] <jifster> :D
[09:00:20] <jifster> I could modify it but it would not work :p
[09:00:20] <KindOne> in theory just comment out a few lines
[09:02:25] <jifster> why can't it be done via an argument
[09:02:45] <jifster> thats a question from a non programmer remember :)
[09:03:54] <jifster> or there should be an expanded menu for logging with these kind of options ;)
[09:05:22] <KindOne> create an issue on github
[09:05:55] <Schoentoon> So you just want to not log certain events?
[09:06:03] <jifster> yes
[09:06:20] <Schoentoon> Create an issue on github yeah, shouldn't be too hard to implement.
[09:06:31] <jifster> ok I may do that thanks
[09:08:50] <Schoentoon> I might take a look at implementing something like that tonight.
[09:09:23] <jifster> that would be cool

@Mkaysi I was planning on making it all opt-out so the default is how it is now. I didn't have much time this weekend but I'll be looking at this tonight, just set a Google Now reminder for it :P

As you can see in the diff I added a simple set option to the module which will let you set a few variables. Currently you can set nojoins and noquits, when these are set to true the logging module won't log any join or quit events. I'm assuming you want more than those two?

I guess that nick changes are also wanted away, but if they are missing, some discussions might be more difficult to read. awaynick is still popular module though and I don't think I will be setting any of these to True.

If there will be option for this, it should log everything by default like now as pisg also uses joins and parts.
