13WAARKUE>Is it expected behaviour that non-admin users can change their idents?
yes
<13WAARKUE> Isn't it possible problem? If some user abuses at some networks and gets K-line (user@host), that user can just change ident.
yeah, that would be a problem in that situation

Networks which use that info instead of identd, suck.
And if you use identd, just put %user% to .oidentd.conf instead of %ident%, as http://wiki.znc.in/ExpandString says.

That probably will be implemented in http://wiki.znc.in/Developer:Permissions

Thanks, that is what I wanted. I'll add a mention about that to identfile wikipage if it allows editing of that page. It mentions only %ident%.

I must be blind or something. That page clearly says
"Commands
Output of /msg *identfile help:
+-----------+-----------+----------------------+
| Command | Arguments | Description |
+-----------+-----------+----------------------+
| GetFile | | |
| GetFormat | | |
| Help | | Generate this output |
| SetFile | | |
| SetFormat | | |
+-----------+-----------+----------------------+
The format uses ExpandString, so %ident% will be expanded to ident. "
