I set up ZNC, with few channels added to it (say 1 and 2). So I connect via an IRC client, and also open up a channel 3. Then I go to the web dashboard, and try to add channel 3 to the list, so that I can log this channel from now on. But it says 'channel already present'. So I need to close that channel (and risk losing some messages) and then add it to the ZNC's channel list. This procedure I think can and should be simplified, and IMO is a bug

Are you using a recent version of ZNC? In 1.3-dev I am able to save channels that I am already in by going to the network page and simply activating the "Save" checkbox next to the channel name in the list. Do you not see this option?

Ohh, I just checked the version and it is 0.206 :(
The ubuntu packages are not updated that frequently I suppose. Sorry, my
mistake

There is an even easier way: have chansaver module loaded, and simply join the channel in client.
And yeah, even without chansaver, you may tick "Save to config" checkbox inside channel or even in channel list.

Even though this is closed, just a comment for you @rushiagr: I have a PPA with 1.2 in it, if you read the documentation on that you'd be able to get 1.2 rather than 0.206. http://wiki.znc.in/Installation#Install_via_PPA
