Hey guys

I am trying to setup ZNC on a VPS i got which has 1ipv4 and 16 ipv6 . I set it up to connect to halcyon.il.us.dal.net which is ipv6 supported. It connects with ipv4 just fine but when i set the bindhost to the provided ipv6 from vps 2604:180:1::f029:7103 it gives me the above error.
Any help would be appreciated on how to connect with the ipv6

It looks like that hostname doesn't have an IPv6 address at all

$ host -t AAAA halcyon.il.us.dal.net
halcyon.il.us.dal.net has no AAAA record

According to http://www.dal.net/news/shownews.php?id=122 you should use halcyon-v6.dal.net or ipv6.dal.net.
