As far as I know, znc pings xxx seconds when a ping reply from client to znc is received, and will ping every 30 seconds when a ping reply is not received (client disconnect). But in my raw monitoring, znc always ping every 30 seconds!

This has a impact, especially mobile phone users, more battery drain.

Please fix

Fyi: My irc client also pinged to znc to know the znc connection was connected and znc responded.

You can basically configure the ping frequency yourself. It is based on the "no traffic timeout" setting that you e.g. configure with webadmin or the control panel module.

The ping frequency is half the no traffic timeout, so if you get PINGs every 60 seconds, I would expect your "no traffic timeout" to be set to 120 seconds. The default value is 180, which would result in one PING every 90 seconds.
