I can save arguments for other modules in the webinterface but it just doesn't stick for the nickserv module. If i set argument (which is the password for nickserv) in znc.conf it works, but when i log into the webinterface it shows it as empty again. This means that when i save the configuration through the webinterface the password is gone again.

Did you try if znc is able to authenticate with nickserv? I bet it will work
The nickserv module does accept a password via its module arguments. However, module arguments are displayed in quite some places, so having a password in there is bad. For this reason, the nickserv module saves the password elsewhere and then empty its module arguments.

It's not obvious from webadmin itself. So it should be changed to be obvious. Add a message that nickserv argument was hidden?

Hm, I fixed this a while ago in 5e568a30f2 but forgot about existence of this issue… It's even released already in 1.2

@multikatt This is expected behavior, it's for security.
