I am trying to setup an automatic auth with Cyrusauth CloneUser.
When a new user connects to znc, and the provided credentials successfully auth to a backend auth db, a template user previously specified by the command Cyrusauth CloneUser is cloned to fill all the default network information and settings, as expected.
Let's say that the template user is called dummy, and the connecting user is called john, the user's username and alt.nickname will be "john", but all those other fields would still mention "dummy":
user's nickname
user's ident
any server's:
nickname
alt.nickname
ident
Therefore, the new user would have go to znc admin panel to fix those fields ("dummy"->"john") before connecting, and I wish I could avoid that manual step altogether and disable the admin panel for non-admin users.
Best,

Should these be the places where one could automatically customize the dummy user at clone time ?
Best,
Dear znc maintainers (gentle ping @DarthGandalf ),
I tried to explore the code a bit, and found some places:
* user's nickname and ident: https://github.com/znc/znc/blob/81df4dec56ba312f70bfa9ea4c7e6f2dda6b144d/src/User.cpp#L757-L759
* server's nickname, alt.nickname, ident
* https://github.com/znc/znc/blob/81df4dec56ba312f70bfa9ea4c7e6f2dda6b144d/src/IRCNetwork.cpp#L197-L200
Should these be the places where one could automatically customize the `dummy` user at clone time ?
