I realised that the front matter plugin in my site suddenly stopped adding new items to the keyword database. It marks new tags as false with a note of all existing other tags to choose from.
Field 'tags.2' must be one of: a-tag, b-tag, all my many allowed tags in a list
Looking for the setting to enable the usage of any tag that I found this setting:
The text states "allow yourself from entering" so I assume it was "prevent" at some point or should be now. In summary this field description does not compute in my brain. It also in both of the checkbox states does NOT solve my issue.
How do I set globally "do not complain about non-existing tags in my front matter"?
Please fix the description of that option above ;)
If the above setting was the right one, maybe add something like "delete cache after setting" or "restart vscode" if there are any required actions.
Sidenotes:
I added the tags via my content generation script as commaseparated list, not via FM sidebar
"suddenly stopped" = I did not look at this part for quite a while, no config changes, other recent contents used tags that FM didn't complain about

It has to do with the new validation system on the markdown files that isn't yet aware of the freeform. That needs to be improved.
How do I set globally "do not complain about non-existing tags in my front matter"?
You can disable the new validation via the frontMatter.validation.enabled setting.
Please fix the description of that option above ;)
Ok, I'll make a better description.
If the above setting was the right one, maybe add something like "delete cache after setting" or "restart vscode" if there are any required actions.
It is related to the new setting and validation system.

I realised that the front matter plugin in my site suddenly stopped adding new items to the keyword database. It marks new tags as false with a note of all existing other tags to choose from.
Looking for the setting to enable the usage of any tag that I found this setting:
The text states "allow yourself from entering" so I assume it was "prevent" at some point or should be now. In summary this field description does not compute in my brain. It also in both of the checkbox states does NOT solve my issue.

Feel free to give the fix a try in the latest beta version @davidsneighbour 🙏
Works as expected!
