Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, in the front matter panel, you can add new tags or categories by clicking the plus (+) icon next to the input field, and these new values are then added to the list of available tags or categories. However, for values using the customTaxonomy field, though you are presented with the plus icon, clicking it does not add the new value to the list. The logic to add custom taxonomy values is not implemented yet.

Describe the solution you'd like
Implement logic so that, when using customTaxonomy, the plus (+) button allows users to add new values to the taxonomy—just like it works for tags and categories. The newly added value should appear in the list and be selectable in the UI.

Describe alternatives you've considered
The current workaround is to manually update the configuration or restart the editor after editing the front matter. This is less convenient and not as user-friendly as the panel-based approach for tags/categories.

Additional context
This feature would bring consistency between the management of tags/categories and custom taxonomies in the front matter panel, improving user experience and reducing confusion when customizing content organization.
