ok i solved setting the Date Format to

yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSxxx

but now i get this result:

date: '2019-09-14T13:42:13.221+02:00'

but id' like the result without the ``, like

date: 2019-09-14T13:42:13.221+02:00

is it possibile?

@StefanoCecere, I did an update to the extension, this should now add the date when you use the format without quotes. Should now be available in version 0.0.9, feel free to test it out.

Just did a couple of test, and it seems that this is not working for all date strings and this is caused by type safety in the YAML parsing.

I've done another update in version 0.0.10 which allows you now to specify for which properties you want to remove the quotes after updating the value. Check out this section of the documentation: https://github.com/estruyf/vscode-front-matter#additional-extension-settings

In your case, specifying this in the setting file should give you the wanted behavior: "frontMatter.taxonomy.noPropertyValueQuotes": ["date"].
