What firmware version is the ingestor connected to? Sounds like the connected node does not know what role that is

Yes, CLIENT_BASE was introduced in 2.7.10

You can simply upgrade your firmware on the Heltec

I'll push a patch in any case to fall back to the library enums

I've upgraded the firmware to 2.7.13 and left overnight, android app shows nodes as CLIENT_BASE, but the web part still shows 12. Are there any update interval to refresh data or manual actions?

It will be overwritten after the next node info broadcast. I cannot tell what the time is between updates.
