Hello,

I see references to the new 0.8.0 version but no release has been created so docker can't pull them

There is no release and no tag. v0.8.0 got renamed to v1.0.0 and is not released yet either. You can use the rc tags if it's urgent, but this is till under active development. I expect v1.0 to ship within a week.

Ow, Ok. Got it. I'll use the rc tags.
I remember seeing https://github.com/l5yth/potato-mesh/commit/d3cbb1443b97aa4dbc86a178d3a9c851b820838d .

0.7.6 was also never released ;)

rc tags is the way to go. please report any issues.
