Application ends prematurely with error message during large downloads at slow speeds.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Command Prompt (Windows)
  2. Enter Command - "D:\Temporary\Offline Maps\Map-tile-downloader.exe" -maps-directory "D:\Temporary\Offline Maps\maps" -max-workers 2 -rate-limit 5
  3. Result = 2026/07/07 19:23:00 Starting server on :8080

  4. After several hours of downloading (typically around the four-hour mark) the application stops downloading and produces the following error:
    2026/07/08 00:06:43 websocket: close 1006 (abnormal closure): unexpected EOF
    2026/07/08 00:06:43 Error writing JSON to websocket: write tcp [::1]:8080->[::1]:63349: use of closed network connection

Expected behavior
Continue to download map tiles until all requested tiles are on the local device

Desktop:

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2
  • Browser: Microsoft Edge
  • Version: 150.0.4078.48 (Official build) (64-bit)
