I'd like to know via endpoint if the database is being cleaned and therefore the mqtt ingestion is stopped. I figured the /health endpoint may be a good place to put a flag indicating something like cleaning: true.

ok... so just added that to the 3.0.8 branch. will be merge into the master release in the next few weeks but you can test it if you try the branch... let me know.
