The Dopewars game on my BBS build is experiencing an issue which prevents a node from playing more than a single game of dopewars.

Expected behavior:

Node 1 initiates a new game of dopewars, and plays through the game as normal. The game starts with the typical introductory message:

"Welcome to 💊Dope Wars💉 You have 7 days to make as much 💰 as possible! The High Score is $100 by user !fdd63a6d" followed immediately by the city selection message.

Node 1 plays the game as norma. The game ends, and Node 1 receives the typical end-of-game message, such as "You made money, up 6x! Good Job!"

Node 1 initiates a second game of dopewars, and plays through it as normal. The game ends, and Node 1 receives another end-of-game message. Rinse and repeat. All are happy.

Node 1 attempts to initiate a second game of dopewars. The first message received includes the typical introductory note, but is appended with the player's previous game result: "Welcome to 💊Dope Wars💉 You have 7 days to make as much 💰 as possible! The High Score is [X] by user [Node 1]. You made money, up 6X, Good Job!"

The city selection message is not delivered.

Attempts to enter alternate game commands such as "P"ricelist, "F"ly, etc, are met with silence.

Sending command "exit" returns node to normal command-response mode.

Context:

Installed Meshing-Around on a raspberry pi zero 2w connected by USB to a heltec V3. Have been running Meshing Around for several months now, and had not experienced this bug until today. I updated my Meshing Around build within the past two weeks.

Hey, I ran the update earlier this evening. I was able to initiate a new game of dopewars after restarting the BBS. After playing through one game, I was still unable to replay a new game of dopewars. The bug had a different sequence this time:

The sequence was as follows:

Finish day 7 of dopewars
Receive an end-of-game message, in this case "You finished with $17,244 and beat the high score! 🎉 💰"
I sent the command "Exit"
The BBS replied "You made money! Up 3x! Well done!"
I sent the command "Ping"
The BBS replied "you are already playing dopewars, finish that first."
I sent the command "exit"
The BBS replied "You made money! Up 3x! Well done!"
I sent the command "Cmd"
The BBS replied "You are already playing dopewars. Finish that first."

I restarted the BBS.
I sent the command Ping, and received the expected pong response.

I initiated a new game of dopewars, which had logged my previous high score.
After receiving the day 1 message, I sent the command "exit
The BBS responded "You broke even...hope you at least had fun."
I sent the command "Ping"
The BBS responded "You are already playing DopeWars, finish that first."

What is new about this error sequence is my inability to exit the game at all to get back to the base-level commands, such as Ping, or even Cmd!

And that brought me here!

Is there a chance the fault lies in my build?
