There are issues with some Cyrillic characters, for example the lowercase “т” (vs “Т”). In the previous firmware version, these characters were displayed correctly.
It’s also possible that the issue is related to the font. The Cyrillic letters appear to use a wider or inconsistent font style compared to the English characters.
The u8g2 library provides some fonts with Cyrillic support that look more consistent in terms of overall font style.

Hey, I think we may have already discussed this, but just to confirm: in v0.9.7 the lowercase Cyrillic letter “т” looks fine.
Would it be possible in the future to change the font used for Cyrillic characters? At the moment, the Cyrillic letters appear wider and somewhat inconsistent compared to the English characters. There are other fonts available that provide a clearer and more visually consistent representation.

I see this aesthetic impairment, too.
But cyrillic characters seem to work.
@dobrishinov, since you initially opened this issue as bug: Is it still a bug in your opinion, or is the issue solved (and so you can close the issue) and maybe open a feature wish?
