After changing sort order in contacts by clicking contacts again the screen stays in the same position
e.g if I in alphabetic sort when you are at the letter z and then sort on favorites you first have to scroll up completly to see them. Might feel more natural to go to top when applying new sort order

I would actually prefer to have the screen stay at its current position, and maybe have a "jump to top" button instead :)

It would work, but it might be too much of a hidden option? Maybe holding the Contacts menu item is a more logical place? That might also open up similar options for the other menu items.

in v0.9.6 (unreleased) when you press the Contacts for more then 2 seconds you will switch the Contacts list to the Discovered List which is needed when you have Auto Add contacts set to disabled. Then you need the Discovered Contacts to add them to the Contacts - and therefore i added already on the mentioned Contacts Menu butten a separate function. We could reuse it for a different screen but, not for sorting i would say.

improved in v0.9.6 when you tap the contacts tab to cycle through sort orders, the view will automatically scroll to the top of the newly sorted list, making it much more user-friendly!

that would be better indeed
what do you think about jump to top when pressing the left DeviceName in the top-statusbar?

Maybe @bert010's original idea (move to top after changing sort order) might actually be the simplest...
