Describe the bug

I just installed version 0.9.14. It boots to the UI & emits the bootup-sound, it has remembered my theme setting (light theme), it has reset my identity (as I can see on the top left, I now see a hex string and not my username I have set), it has erased all contacts (it boots into the "Contacts" tab and shows "No contacts"), and then is completely frozen with display on, keyboard backlight on. No interaction possible.

This happens whenever the SD card is inserted during bootup.

When the SD card is removed, it does not happen.

I also did fully erase the device's flash (esptool -p /dev/ttyACM0 -v erase-flash) and then did flash the -merged firmware (esptool -p /dev/ttyACM0 write-flash 0x0 firmware_tdeckplus_v0.9.14-merged.bin) -- same result.
(Serial log file below is from a launch where still "Launcher" is installed.)

I did some further test with the firmware_tdeckplus_v0.9.14-merged.bin binary (no Launcher).

Used another SD card (larger size, partition starts at different offset, other fat32-filesystem-label).

  • Empty SD card: Boots and works.
  • Copying the content of the first SD card to this other SD card: Also works.

Note that with version 0.9.12.3 it all worked also with the original SD card.
