**Describe the bug**
If you enter in a space character in an access point SSID for WiFi set up, the space character is removed.
**Which device are you using**
LilyGO T-Deck Plus
**Which Firmware are you using**
v0.9.12.3 (but I can confirm it behaved the same on v0.9.12.2)
firmware_tdeckplus_v0.9.12.3
**To Reproduce**
Steps to Reproduce
- With the device booted, click on Mgmt
- Go to the WiFi settings
- Hit the edit button for the "AP SSID" field
- put one or more spaces in the name (followed by a non-space character), ex: "Access Point"
- confirm the selection by hitting "OK" or the enter key
- You are taken back to the WiFi settings screen
- Look at the SSID; note that the spaces have been removed.
Expected results:
Space characters should be retained.
(It would be reasonable, although not necessary, to remove trailing spaces).
**Additional context**
Space characters are legitimate in SSIDs; I've been using them for years.
If you want to go deeper, this old question links to some specs. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4919889/is-there-a-standard-that-defines-what-is-a-valid-ssid-and-password . It is uglier than I thought. I think just permitting spaces would be good enough.

Oh ok; you are right, but now when you send me the request i will make it possible. Will put this into the next release 👌

Thinking further, to allow characters that cannot be entered via the on screen keyboard (I have seen wireless networks with non-ASCII unicode characters in their SSID), an option to display a list of SSIDs detected by listening to the network/ asking the access point(s) can be shown and allowing the user to choose one of those as well, besides manually entering.
*(It would be reasonable, although not necessary, to remove trailing spaces).*
Actually not, since ESSIDs can also contain trailing (and leading) spaces.

Improved in v0.9.14
spaces and other printable characters in WiFi network names (SSID) are now kept.
