Issue:
Bluetooth does not work with android app

Which device are you using
Heltec v4 tft

Which Firmware are you using
0.9.12

To Reproduce:

  1. Full erase and flash.
  2. Configure radio settings.
  3. Enable Bluetooth.
  4. Device does NOT show to ANY other phone, laptop etc.

Additional context
Interesting that WIFI does in fact work and it's only a bluetooth issue.

I cannot confirm any of your issues. Should you not make your own issue request?
I have TX working on webui and from the device itself with no issues.
Just the BLE does not show for any of my devices that I try to connect normally with the base bluetooth companion.

Exact same issue on T-Deck, bluetooth is active, but it's not visible in any scans. Wifi works fine tho.

Can't confirm, BUT: I first had a BT connection to my Mac. That worked. Had to "forget" an old Meshtastic thingie. So, I could connect with the MeshCore app. So far, so good. All was nice. Disconnect, connect, all worked.
(and I must say: I love the implementation on the HeltecV4/touch/expansion. Well done!!!!!)
So, i also tried to hook up with my iPhone. Tough luck. Can't do. It's just not visible through BT settings, MeshCore app, Testflight/meshCore One app. It looks like it's missing a way somehow, to pair with a different device in a next instance.
Note; I don't have any issues with my Lilygo t-echo. Connect to te mac, connect to my iPhone/MeshCore, connect to the MeshCore One app. It works fluently.

Using newest firmware. (9.12.23) I did find a solution.

  1. Unpair all unused devices in bluetooth on phone
  2. Download "BLEHero"
  3. Manually connect and create a bond using BLEHero
  4. Disconnect from the device in BLEHero
  5. Open meshcore app and connect
