Currently, the colour scheme of "MC Term" is dark (black background, white text).
I hereby feature-wish an option to switch it to light (white background, black and dark text).
This is better readable in bright environments, also partly because on LCD/TFT screens sunlight can partly penetrate through the display and help a bit illuminating it, when backligt is not enough.
Regards!

added in v0.9.12 (but improvement about the colors needed!):
On-screen light color scheme readability overhaul
Light mode now uses a bright white base with stronger contrast treatment for controls, improving legibility in heavy sunlight
Buttons across the on-device UI were visually unified for outdoor use with clearer borders and higher-contrast label rendering
Badge and accent colors were adjusted in light mode so critical status indicators remain easy to distinguish on bright backgrounds
Contact list rows were tuned for light mode readability with clearer row separation and easier-to-read text treatment
Improvement needed!

Yes, there are some bright-yellow colours which are not easily visible on white, and the pink-ish contact backgrounds in the contacts screen could also be just white, like it is just black in dark colour scheme.
And, very important:
In light colour scheme, do not use red for the frame around channels where a message was received. For people with some common sort of color blindness this is not really discernible from the black frame on white background.
Use either some light form of read, or another colour.
Regards!

Another thing that needs improvement I think:
Currently, the colour of "USR" type node and map icon changes between black in dark colour scheme and white in light colour scheme. I suggest to just keep it black, so the colour can be used as something to quickly recognise the node type (and also on the map it stays consistent regardless of colour scheme).

Two more issues:
In light colour scheme, the box around the room server console is not drawn (maybe it is still white). But around the Repeater admin CLI it is drawn in black.
(Another case where there is needless doubling of code? It looks visually similar, so it makes sense to have just one piece of code and config taking care for rendering both!)
In dark colour scheme, in "Mgmt" -> "Log", the "Down" button is yellow.

One more issue: Cyan/ light blue/ ... on white is also barely readable.
