As you can read both DM's and Channel messages in the "Channels" tab, I think "Messages" (or "Msgs" for short) might be a more logical name for the tab.

correct, in the meantime this make sense - i will change the Channels to Msgs which fits better for different screen sizes!

So now you need a way to manage Channels - perhaps a new Page under Mgmt?

My idea was to only change the label of the tab, nothing else. So no functional changes and no new management pages needed..

Still need a way to logically manage Channels vs Messages. If Tab is now Msgs need a sub Page for Channel management.

You can have DMs per node that aren't part of any Channel management.

Already suggested ability to Add/Delete Public, Private, Hashtag Channels and that needs it's own Management interface and Channel List (no DMs) so you can tap on a Channel to see all msgs.

No different than MC apps

We might be talking about different things.
Tabs:

  • Contacts (unchanged)
  • Channels (renamed to "Msgs")
    • DMs (unchanged, switch to Channels with arrows)
    • Channels (unchanged, switch to DMs with arrows)
  • Map (unchanged)
  • Mgmt

So you can still access both DMs and messages in Channels like you do right now.

If you are talking about a new feature to add and remove channels (the Public channel, hashtag channels, private channels), then yes, that might be a great new feature, but I think you already mentioned that in a separate issue :)

Yes I see < > switches between Channels and DMs and that's logical (I'll explain in User Guide)

So we need a Channel Management Page to add/delete which should live under Mgmt Tab

Update: User Guide updated
