@skykingisepic did you also place the copyright.png file in the root of the sd card? Apart from that, did you zoom out far enough to get to the zoom level you have map tiles for? For me the map is showing:
I do have the issue that the UI freezes sometimes when the map is showing, but I'll make a separate issue for that :)

when we talk about the indicator (Seeed Studio) then its right that there is only the "back" MAP visible. The Indicator has 2 different Boards which are connected together via Serial and the manufracturer decided to connect the SDCard slot to the RP2040 and the Main program is running on the ESP32S3. Actually id ont know a way how to bridge the SDCard to the ESP system.
If there is a solution about that i would be very interested to integrate it for the Indicator too :). Actually its working on the T-Deck!

They seem open to suggestions and issues, or might have a way to bridge.
From their WiKi:
RP2040 part
RP2040 has not been developed yet, so the buzzer/SD card/map functions are not available yet. We are working with Meshtastic to optimize it.

Interesting - I don't have that for map in Meshtastic on my Tdeck.
Closing this issue for now as not supported by Seeed Studio Indicator at this time.
