Hi.
First of all, thank You for a very interesting app. It's a great job :)
When starting py script, the webpage opens properly but contacts frame not updating at all (i have about 80 contacts on the list). Map window without any nodes. On the RX log window i see only "?" in the Type field.
Debug log:
DEBUG: send_appstart attempt 10/10
BLE: ⚠️ send_appstart failed after 10 attempts
DEBUG: BLE: get_contacts exception: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'type'
Tested on:
Debian Trixie - Raspberry Pi 5
Debian Jessy - RPI 2b+ ,5
Armbian (Bullseye) on Banana Pi M3
Windows 10

A fix has been submitted for the event race condition in the meshcore SDK
that causes ~2 minute startup delays on busy networks (PR meshcore-dev/meshcore_py#52).
This will solved the issue.
Until this fix is merged upstream, please update your meshcore SDK to the patched version:
# Activate your meshcore_gui virtual environment first, then run:
pip install --force-reinstall git+https://github.com/PE1HVH/meshcore_py.git@fix/event-race-condition
To verify the installation:
pip show meshcore | grep Location
This should show the patched version. Restart the GUI and startup should complete in ~10 seconds instead of ~2 minutes.
To revert to the official release later (once the fix is merged):
