I have been trying to install this on a heltec V3, the meshforge approach just results in the V3 becoming unresponsive after the firmware loads, compiling from source method loads a plugin directory but when it compiles it is just the usual meshtastic version , no lobbs.

the step that fails is "$ mpm init"
usage: mpm [-h] {list,install,remove,proto} ...
mpm: error: argument command: invalid choice: 'init' (choose from 'list', 'install', 'remove', 'proto')
python 3.11.7
pip 32.3.2
I am using VScode with platformio to compile
any advice? thanks!

i ran into this as well. mpm requires python > 3.14, however pip will install the "latest compatible version". worked fine once i switched to fresher python.

ok nice! thanks! the init command is working now that I created a virtual environment with 3.14 for it. we'll see if it compiles...

I was still running into an issue compiling where it was saying that lodb/src/plugin.h didn't exist.
After I added -I plugins to build-flags in the platformio.ini file it finally compiled.
