This ticket is a request to be able to specify the tool to only mirror content that is licensed under a copyleft license, such as CC BY.
Note: PeerTube's built-in sync feature doesn't really work anymore, thanks to the YouTube IP-based blocking & rate limiting introduced in 2024. So now this tool is needed again (to distribute the mirroring load across clients).
This ticket is a request to be able to specify the tool to *only* mirror content that is licensed under a copyleft license, such as CC BY.

Does this require the YouTube API to fetch the license? If it can't be done over RSS and requires the YouTube API to do, it is out of scope. If it can be fetched without the YouTube API, I am not interested in implementing it but would merge a well written pull request to do it.
One requirement would be that it would need to be able to check for any user specified licenses, and that it can both blacklist and whitelist licenses, i.e. a user could specify which licenses to require and/or which licenses to exclude. No hard coded licenses or predefined lists of licenses. If someone makes this without using the YouTube API I will merge it.

Also, for future reference, the canonical repository is here https://codeberg.org/mister_monster/YouTube2Peertube/issues as per the readme, I will not be merging anything to this github repository.
