The Sidebar already badges the number of new messages. It'd be great to plumb a "new messages" marker into MessageList to indicate that position.

(Claude hooked it up with a Fragment. But since I have zero knowledge of Vue, I won't waste your time with a purely-AI-generated-PR-that-no-human-even-vetted. Not sure if it knows when to clear said marker though...)

I appreciate it haha! This codebase was made to be very LLM friendly but yes, I agree that having a human who can understand all the code and look it over for correctness is the most important other piece of that puzzle.

I'll work on this.

Wow; /shakes-fist-at-work. I'll take a look in a few hours.

Seems to be working, but I think I need more data points (aka traffic) to really tell.

There was an oddity where I think I was seeing duplicate messages in the MessageList, but I haven't been able to reproduce it.

Yes, you were, and it is a stubborn and pernicious bug I have not been able to trap the root cause of yet.

You're not going crazy, but I am, in trying to track it down. I'll track that in #57, and will close this now but feel free to reopen if you have any issue with the Read markers.
