It would be nice to share the albums under:

mydomain.com/albumname

instead of

mydomain.com/index.php?/category/albumname

I know this issue is fairly old, but this has been my #1 request for Piwigo since day one (which was also pretty long ago now? Tempus fugit...)

I've never contributed to a public repo before, but I'm trying to work myself up to it. I checked out the blame attributions for Piwigo's functions_url.inc.php file, which I think is the relevant code, and it seems like the code responsible for hardcoding those urls is 19 years old now! Relying on my own amateur investigation skills here, but still.

So yeah. It would be lovely, and long overdue, if SOMEONE took a whack at this. The code's old enough to vote.
