I have a strange problem similar to this old bug: http://piwigo.org/bugs/view.php?id=2088

Only 7 out of 9 albums are visible as a certain user. When I assign the status "administrator" to that user all albums are visible.
I cannot figure out any differences between those albums. All have permissions based on a group where the user is a member of. I can even see the missing albums in the permission settings of the affected user.
When I try to open an album by ID as this user I get a not authorized error.

I am running piwigo on a VPS with symlinks to the "galleries" folder and the ftp synchronisatin feature.

Piwigo 2.9.2
Operating system: Linux
PHP: 5.6.30-0+deb8u1 (Show info) [2018-01-03 22:44:31]
MySQL: 5.5.58-0+deb8u1 [2018-01-03 22:44:31]
Graphics Library: External ImageMagick 6.8.9-9
