Album thumbnail counts empty sub-albums for administrators, but the album page does not list them

Piwigo 17.0.0beta1
PHP: 8.4.24
MySQL: 11.8 MariaDB
Theme: modus (default theme affected as well)

What happens:

As an administrator, an album thumbnail reports more sub-albums than are shown after opening the album. In our gallery an album shows "22 photos, 8 albums", but opening it lists 6 albums. The two missing ones contain no photos. Visitors and normal users see 6 and 6.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. As an administrator, create album A with two sub-albums, B and C.
  2. Add one photo to B. Leave C empty.
  3. Open the gallery home page as the administrator.
  • modus: A's thumbnail says 2 albums.
  • default theme: the caption says "1 photo in 2 sub-albums".
  1. Open A: only B is listed.
  2. Log out, or log in as a normal user: the thumbnail says 1, matching the listing.
