[derivatives] error when enabling disabled derivatives #2160

During a meeting, we initially tried to reproduce this issue without success. The bug did not occur consistently and seemed to depend on conditions that were hard to identify.

However, we noticed several situations where the issue would occasionally appear, for example:

  • Disable derivatives
  • Log out
  • Log back in
  • Go back to the derivatives configuration page => bug

Eventually, we found a reliable way to reproduce the issue: simply validating the watermark. This action results in a loss of configuration data in the database, which then causes the bug to appear, since no configuration data is available anymore.
