Following the addition of the new derivative sizes and after discussions and tests with Plg and Hannah, we concluded that these new derivatives can sometimes be very large in file size. This not only consumes more storage space but can also slow down Piwigo during generation (especially on small self-hosted VPS servers).
Therefore, we decided to:
Disable the new derivative sizes by default.
Cap the JPEG quality at 75 when generating derivatives (e.g. if the configured quality is 50 => it remains 50, but if it is set to 95 => it will be limited to 75).
