In the related tags links, we have a rel=nofollow on each link leading to a multiple tags. It is indeed totally useless for search engines to follow/index. It is a problem because search engines are now opening many many more links, which leads to useless resource consumption. Which is bad. Unfortunately, I can see, on Piwigo.com, that bingbot does not care about rel=nofollow. We may have to take more agressive decisions.
If the related tags are rel=nofollow, it is not the case of related albums. Even if search engine robots don't always care about this "recommendation", we should at least ask them to avoid following/indexing.
