Cannot change photo storage location, fresh installation #1999

Hi,

I just installed Piwigo fresh on my Windows 11 system and I would like to change the storage location so that my photos will be stored on D:/Piwigo instead of in the installation folder on my C: drive.

I have installed the following versions.
nginx-1.26.2
php-8.4.2
piwigo-15.3.0

already added
$conf['data_location'] = 'D:/Piwigo/';

to
C:\nginx\html\piwigo\local\configconfig.inc.php

but this gives me an error because it treats the adres as relative. Notice that the adres starts with .
Permission to that folder is set correctly and matches the original directory.
sub-folder "templates_c" is present and empty.

error message shown when browsing to Piwigo site:

Piwigo encountered an irrecoverable error
.\D:\Piwigo\templates_c no write access

#1 mkgetdir C:\nginx\html\piwigo\include\template.class.php(101)
#2 Template::__construct C:\nginx\html\piwigo\include\common.inc.php(266)
#3 include_once C:\nginx\html\piwigo\index.php(11)

any advice would be highly appreciated.
