I'm running Piwigo as a docker container with a separate database container. Let me wrap it up and share my Dockerfile and my docker-compose.yml. It is not perfect, but may give you a good starting point.

Does your container work in rootless mode? I tried the image by linuxserver.io but PHP keeps running into permission issues with rootless containers one after another (when AppArmor is enabled, even with the security flag is set to not enforce AppArmor).
